Mohit
Doh Taarfa Kahaani
Three moments of one laugh, each with its own blue ghost
Blue spreads like water left to dry on rough paper.
A person sits on a cool floor, one hand lifted mid-sentence.
Behind, the same body fades into the blue, half remembered.
A gold ring floats there, drawn in one slow turn of the wrist.
The hand comes down. The face opens into a laugh.
In the last frame the floor takes the weight of a palm.
The work
Mohit sets three moments side by side. In each panel a black-and-white photograph of a seated figure lies over a blue cyanotype print of the same scene. The blue layer shows the figure again, pale and faint, with brushed edges. A thin gold ring circles the head. Mohit begins with photography and brings a painter's eye for colour, texture and layers. Mohit reworks the images to balance a true record with a personal reading of an ordinary moment.
In the artist’s words
“I was trying to look at an ordinary subject from a different perspective. I often begin with photography because it lets me observe small details that are easily overlooked. The hard part was balancing documentation and interpretation. I kept observing, selecting and reworking the images until they felt honest to the experience I wanted to communicate.”
