Narender
Stupid tringle
Three bare heads under a net of pale triangles
Orange burns like a stove left on.
Three dark figures stand in it, shoulder to shoulder.
Blue pastel runs down their bodies like water down a window.
Their heads are smooth. One looks out with two round eyes.
Thin lines cross from edge to edge and make triangles nobody asked for.
Still the feet are wide. Still they stand.
The work
Narender works in Gurugram. He paints, makes sculpture and installations, takes photographs and performs. Hair loss is the main subject of his work. He shows how it affects him and people like him and how they can find their confidence again. In this 2026 painting three tall figures stand side by side. Flat acrylic gives the dark bodies and the orange ground. Soft blue oil pastel runs over them in strands and thin straight lines. The lines make triangles across the canvas.
In the artist’s words
“Through my art I show myself and people whose experiences are like mine. The main subject of my work is hair loss, its challenges and its solutions. I try to show how this problem affects me and people like me. Finally my work looks at how we can find our confidence again and face the challenges along the way.”
