A mountain road bends out of sight under a huge blue sky
The road turns before we can see where it goes.
A lilac edge holds it to the hill.
Grass the colour of a cut lime runs down to meet it.
On the ridge the pines stand dark and close together.
One thin mast pins the hill to the sky.
Above, the blue is wide and the clouds break into small white pieces.
The work
This digital painting shows a hill road on a bright day. The road curves in from the lower right and leaves the frame. Grass in lime and yellow fills the slope. Dark pines line the ridge and a thin tower rises behind them. The sky takes more than half the picture. The surface looks like watercolour on rough paper. Colour sits in small soft patches with no hard edges. The artist works in Pune and teaches art at Reena Arts.
