These terms govern your use of this site, your registration to read The Raconteur, and any paid plan we offer later. The publisher is Kalyani Kalakriti Foundation, a non-profit company licensed under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, registered office 557, First Floor, HUDA Plots, Sector 56, Gurugram, Haryana 122011, CIN U90009HR2024NPL123887.
Reading The Raconteur
Through December 2026 the magazine is free to everyone who registers. Registering gives you personal, non-transferable access to read The Raconteur on this site. Students and faculty stay free, always.
If we introduce paid plans, we will publish the price and what it includes on this site before anyone is charged, and a paid plan will be a purchase, not a donation, and not tax-deductible.
Access does not give you the right to download, copy, redistribute, republish or resell the magazine or any artwork in it. The magazine is served as a flipbook and is not available as a file.
What access does not buy
It does not buy influence over what we publish. It does not include the artwork itself — works in the Catalogue are bought separately. It does not transfer any copyright to you.
Copyright
Copyright in every artwork remains with the artist who made it. The Foundation holds a limited, non-exclusive licence to publish. Copyright in the editorial content — the writing, the photography we commission, the design — remains with the Foundation and its contributors.
You may quote briefly from an article with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce an article in full, and you may not reproduce an artwork at all without the artist’s permission.
Student and faculty access
Free access for students and faculty is personal. Sharing an account is a breach of these terms and we may close it. We may ask for proof of enrolment or employment; giving us a false institution to obtain free access is a breach too.
Accounts
You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it.
If prices change
Once paid plans exist, we will tell you before a renewal at a new price, with enough notice to cancel.
Availability
We try to keep the site up and we do not promise it never goes down. Where a fault denies you a material part of what you paid for, write to us and we will put it right or refund the affected period.
Submissions
Sending us work does not oblige us to publish it. Nothing is published without your signature. There is no fee to submit, there has never been one, and there will not be one — if anyone asks a student for money in our name, tell us the same day.
The Catalogue
Expressing interest in a work is an enquiry, not an order. The Foundation puts buyer and artist in touch and mediates the sale. The artist sets the price. A sale is agreed only when it is confirmed to you in writing, and delivery is quoted separately. Returns are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.
Conduct
Do not attempt to break the access controls, scrape the site, or upload anything unlawful or anything you do not have the rights to.
Liability
Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have under consumer protection law to bring a complaint where you live, the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have jurisdiction.
